1. Who to contact

Pitchers Planet is an independent project operated by Bailey Blaker. For privacy questions or requests, email pitchersplanet@gmail.com.

2. Files and pitch measurements

CSV and Excel files selected in the reporting tool are parsed in your browser. The application does not upload the original workbook or CSV to a report-storage service. Player names, teams, and the other contents of those files are used locally to build the report.

To calculate scores and heatmaps, the application sends numeric pitch features to its server endpoints. These include velocity, movement, spin, release measurements, pitch-type and throwing-hand codes, fastball-reference differences, and plate location when applicable. The scoring payloads do not include player names or email addresses.

The current scoring endpoints calculate results without writing the input measurements to an application database. This does not mean all network activity is anonymous: hosting and network providers process technical request information such as IP addresses, request times, and browser information for delivery, security, and operations.

Reports are held in the current browser session, are not published as public player pages, and may be lost when you reload, navigate away, or close the page. Exports are saved to your device. You control where you send those exported files.

3. Website analytics and browser storage

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand website usage, such as visits, pages viewed, referrals, and device categories. The application does not intentionally send player names, uploaded file contents, or pitch measurements to marketing analytics.

Ahrefs states that its Web Analytics product uses no cookies, stores no IP addresses with analytics data, and does not track visitors across days. Read Ahrefs’ product privacy explanation and privacy policy for its practices. Hosting providers may use their own necessary security technologies.

The current calculator and reports do not create user accounts or save your pitch session in persistent browser storage. You can use your browser’s privacy and script-blocking controls to limit analytics; blocking scripts may also affect parts of the tool. Do not place personal or confidential information in page URLs or query parameters.

4. Messages you send

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to provide. We use them to respond, investigate issues, and manage the request. Email is processed by the email service provider. Please share only the information needed and obtain permission before sending another person’s data.

5. Purposes, providers, and disclosure

Information is used to deliver calculations and reports, maintain the service, understand usage, respond to requests, and address abuse or security issues. The website is hosted through OpenAI Sites with Cloudflare infrastructure; Ahrefs provides website analytics. These providers may process technical information to perform their services.

The current application does not include advertising trackers or a feature for selling uploaded player data. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, or investigate abuse. External links, including social profiles, lead to services with their own policies. Provider processing may occur outside your country.

6. Retention and security

The application does not maintain a saved library of your uploaded reports. Downloaded copies remain wherever you store them. Support correspondence is kept as needed to address the request and legitimate operational or legal needs. Hosting logs and analytics are subject to provider retention settings and policies; we do not promise a fixed deletion period for those systems.

The site uses HTTPS for network communications. No service or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Avoid including medical information, account credentials, or other unnecessary sensitive information in files or support messages.

7. Your choices and requests

You can stop using the tools, close the browser session, manage copies you downloaded, and control scripts through your browser. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information, or object to processing. Contact us to make a request or ask about applicable rights.

We may need information to verify a request, but will not ask you to send passwords. We cannot retrieve an unsaved browser-only session or identify a particular person in aggregate analytics that does not identify them. If you are entitled to complain to a data protection authority, nothing in this policy limits that right.

8. Children and third-party data

The service is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. Do not submit personal information about a child under 13. If you believe such information has been sent to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Only analyze player or team data you are authorized to use, and respect your team’s agreements, privacy expectations, and tracking-data permissions.

9. Policy changes

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes to data practices will be described here, and any additional notice or consent required by applicable law will be provided before those changes apply.
